  General Information
The aim of a Pulping System can be defined as the breaking down of a raw material, such as wood, into individual fibres for further use. This is done by dissolving the materials that hold the fibres together. The method of breaking down the bonds is usually done either Chemically or Mechanically. This gives us the two distinct processes called Mechanical Pulping and Chemical Pulping.
Chemical Pulp, or woodfree pulp, is typically used to produce stock for envelopes, books, manuals, magazines, higher quality printing papers, labels and similar products.
Mechanical Pulp, or wood containing pulp, is typically used to produce Newsprint, magazine inserts, paper for rotogravure printing, offset printed papers for some magazine and lower quality books and magazines.
There is also the opportunity to blend different pulps to generate a pulp that has a mixture of properties.
