ANDRITZ completes combustion system upgrade on Essity tissue machine in England

29 Apr. 2024: International technology group ANDRITZ successfully completed the upgrade of the combustion system on a through-air drying (TAD) tissue machine at the paper mill of Essity in Prudhoe. This is the third upgrade of this kind that ANDRITZ carried out for global hygiene and health company Essity.

Smurfit Kappa declines to unpack details of WestRock acquisition

26 Apr. 2024: The chairman of Smurfit Kappa has urged shareholders anxious for further information about the Dublin-listed group’s acquisition of US paper and packaging rival WestRock to be patient, after declining to answer questions on the subject at its annual general meeting in Dublin on Friday.

Closed material loop: Voith intensifies efforts to recycle press felts

28 Apr. 2024: Recycling is a central component of Voith Paper’s sustainability strategy and forms the basis for a sustainable paper industry. With this in mind, the company is stepping up its activities in the area of reutilization and recycling of press felts in order to conserve resources, reduce waste and cut CO2 emissions.

Sappi Establishes Inhouse Capacity to Test Recyclability of Its Products

17 Apr. 2024: Sappi has established a recyclability testing laboratory within its R&D Department. The lab plays a key role in ensuring that Sappi's packaging and specialty papers are recyclable, in compliance with the latest EU regulations and market demands.
